I buy bay leaves, lemon and cloves for a pleasant aroma in the house, and guests think that it’s all about expensive aroma diffusers

You try, you constantly monitor the order in the house, so that it smells fresh and clean. As soon as you relax a little and let the situation get out of control, foreign smells begin to appear.

  • It happens that the smell of mustiness, dampness and other “aromas” accumulate in the apartment. This happens due to high humidity and poor ventilation system.
  • If the apartment residents are reluctant to part with old things, this also adds unpleasant odors. Old shoes, clothes, newspapers are very willing to hold in themselves the odors accumulated over the years. Of course, in this case, it is best to begin the fight for a pleasant atmosphere with an audit of such things.

Store-bought air fresheners do not help solve such problems, as they do not eliminate unpleasant odors, but only mask them.

And yet I have found ways to quickly and reliably “treat” the problem of unpleasant odors. No, I do not buy chemical deodorants, and why should I, because there are excellent folk remedies. They work flawlessly, and the result is much better than from store-bought sprays.

  • I love freshly brewed coffee, so I always have beans and ground coffee in my kitchen cupboard. If I need to quickly clear the air in my apartment from unpleasant odors, I put a frying pan on the stove and pour a tablespoon of ground or bean coffee on it.

  • The frying pan should be well heated. I heat the coffee on it for literally 30 seconds, the coffee should not burn. Then I turn off the stove. I pour the roasted coffee into a cup and saucer and put it in the room where I need to freshen the air.

This product comes in handy when I’m expecting guests and the apartment is filled with kitchen odors.

  • Bay leaf is great for combating the musty smell of dampness. I use this method most often in the bathroom. I do it simply. I put a few bay leaves on a saucer and set them on fire. If necessary, you can go around the entire apartment.

  • The situation with food burnt on a frying pan happens rarely, but very accurately. To quickly remove all traces of the pungent smell, I put a saucepan on the stove, pour literally half a liter of water into it and add 100 ml of 9% vinegar. I also add a lemon cut into slices and 5 cloves to the same saucepan. Instead of cloves, you can take mint. This remedy will basically help get rid of any, even very persistent, unpleasant odor in the apartment.

  • To combat the unpleasant smell from drainpipes, I use the following simple remedy. I pour a tablespoon of salt, the same amount of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of 9% vinegar directly into the drain. I leave it for 30 minutes. Then I wash it off with boiling water from the kettle.

  • To create aroma and freshness I use essential oils. In the toilet I literally apply a few drops to the inside of the toilet paper roll. This is enough for a few days.
-6
  • In the bathroom, I apply 2-3 drops to the corner of a hand towel. As long as the towel hangs in the bathroom, a good aroma is guaranteed.
-7
  • In the kitchen, I put 2-3 cotton pads on the bottom of the trash can, right under the trash bag. I first apply 2-3 drops of lemongrass oil to them.

  • In the living rooms I use the same cotton pads, but this time I put them in the closets and on the radiator. Ordinary toilet soap is also very good. It is enough to put it between the linen in the closet.
