The jade plant, also known as Crassula ovata, is one of the easiest succulents to care for. With its glossy, fleshy leaves, it instantly adds a touch of zen and elegance to any room. It’s even called the “lucky plant,” a symbol of prosperity and positive energy in many traditions. But for it to maintain its luster and thrive, the secret lies in the location. Here’s where (and how) to place your jade plant so it flourishes.
Outside: his favorite environment

Our advice:
- Place it in a sunny spot, but sheltered from strong winds and driving rain.
- In summer, protect it from direct sunlight during the hottest hours (between 12 pm and 4 pm), especially if temperatures exceed 30°C.
- In winter, if the nights are cold, bring it inside to protect it from frost.
A jade tree grown outdoors often develops denser foliage and sturdy stems, while taking on pretty reddish hues on the edges of its leaves.
